“The resident yelled at the unknown man,” who dropped the knife and was “seen fleeing the area with another man,” Flores said.

Responding officers arrested two men a short distance away who matched descriptions provided by the resident, he said.

Officers identified the men as Taylor Kale Pacheco, 30, and Robert Sam Chandler, 32, of Los Angeles.

“Officers reviewed the security camera and were able to identify the subjects as the suspects in the prowl,” Flores said.

Police recovered the knife from the scene and the bolt cutters Chandler had in his possession, Flores said. Both suspects were in possession of methamphetamine.

They were taken into custody and charged with prowling and drug possession, police said.

Chandler was also charged with possession of burglary tools, breach of probation and false impersonation.
