The menu, which debuted in late October, is available daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the restaurant, 2842 S. Ocean Blvd., which is also open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an indoor terrace and exterior.

Six small plates are offered at happy hour along with a selection of half-price glasses of wine and beer; some liquors are also half price.

“Happy hour food should always be accessible to a wide variety of people, but it can also make a first impression, so that’s really important,” says Emilio Zarrilli, director of marketing and communications at Tideline Ocean Resort. .

A lightly fried tofu dish — with chili garlic, sesame seeds and scallions — was a hit, Zarrilli said.

“When we had a tasting last month with the staff to try out the dishes planned for happy hour, everyone’s favorite turned out to be tofu,” Zarrilli said. “Tofu was never my first favorite dish, but this dish is delicious.”

Other dishes on the happy hour menu: truffle and parmesan fries, as well as a grilled chicken quesadilla with tomato, mozzarella, cheddar, sour cream and pico de gallo.

The happy hour menu was designed by Tideline executive chef Gary Mawu, whose “coastal kitchen” at the hotel offers a variety of dishes, including Asian-influenced dishes.
