Ocean Park Inn in Pacific Beach is now open with the first phase of property-wide renovations complete – Hospitality Net

Ocean Park Inn (OPI), a family-friendly hotel located in the heart of Pacific Beach, is now open to locals and vacationers beginning Friday, June 12, 2020. The oceanfront hotel, conveniently located on the iconic Pacific Beach boardwalk from the beach just steps to the sand will greet guests with 71 freshly reimagined guest rooms recently completed as part of a phased property-wide renovation.

OPI’s brand new guest rooms and renovated common areas were envisioned by Clear on Black, a bespoke interior architecture design firm based in Los Angeles. Mid-century meets beach vibe, with accents in homage to the hotel’s original Tiki-themed design, is the perfect setting for a SoCal beach getaway.

Sophisticated, streamlined furnishings and vintage local photography in the bedrooms are paired with crisp hues of cool mint green, black, white and sunny yellow that warm the soul and create an atmosphere of sleek elegance and retro luxury chic.

With the sparkling Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, guests can also soak up the sun on the brand new pool deck which will be unveiled in late June.

The final phase of the renovation, which is expected to be completed in the fall of 2020, will include the complete redesign of the lobby and exterior facade of the building to complement the mid-century aesthetic of the interior.

As the hotel will look a little different, so will the guest experience, as OPI will temporarily realign hotel operations in the wake of COVID-19. New guest services and enhanced health and safety protocols are designed to ensure the well-being of guests, staff, neighbors and friends at Pacific Beach.

Instead of its standard continental breakfast buffet, OPI partners with local bakeries to offer artisanal artisan pastries. The hotel has also partnered with several well-known Pacific Beach restaurants to offer in-room dining for lunch and dinner.

San Diego’s beautiful beaches and boardwalks are now open to all activities, including surfing, paddleboarding, swimming, and sunbathing. Plus, guests can enjoy San Diego’s famous sunsets, ocean breezes, and the sound of crashing waves from the comfort of their private balcony or hotel pool deck.
