Hong Kong – Ocean Park Corporation (OPC) welcomes the appointment of Paulo Pong Kin-yee as new Chairman and Stephen Wong See-yuen as new Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors effective July 1 2022.
Pong will succeed outgoing chairman Lau Ming-wai, who is leaving the OPC board after serving in various capacities for 14 years.
Pong joined OPC’s Board of Directors in 2019 and assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the Board in 2020. He brings to the Company experience in food and beverage, retail , international trade and investment. He is also known as a supporter of the arts committed to promoting culture, history and tourism. The OPC said these will be assets to help it in its goal to transform and strengthen its roots in conservation and education.
Paulo Pong Kin-yee, the new President of Ocean Park Corporation, said, “Ocean Park is embarking on an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Ming-wai for her stewardship during a difficult time. During his leadership over the past two years, OPC has redefined its strategic direction, business model and customer experience, and smoothly launched the long-awaited Water World Ocean Park despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. . Stephen Wong See-yuen, the new Vice President, joined OPC’s Board of Directors in 2018. Stephen is characterized as a strong advocate for design thinking and a strong believer in using innovation and transformation to unlock new business growth. OPC said its track record in customer experience, customer retention and user-centric innovation should play a crucial role in the future of Ocean Park and Water World.
