GTA has announced its support for Hui Nalu Ocean Club’s “Surf into Summer” surf camp which runs through August at Onward Beach Resort.
“This year has got to be one of our most special yet as we come out of the pandemic and GTA has stepped up and sponsored summer surf camp uniforms,” said Nalu Guam Ocean Club founder, Joe Villatora, in an official press release. “Our program has been successful with private companies such as GTA.”
The annual summer camp offers surf lessons for children ages 8-17. The telecommunications company supports local groups and organizations that grow and develop the younger generation. His donation to the camp was company-designed Dri-FIT shirts for all attendees, according to the statement.
“We are thrilled to be part of activities that support our local surfing community and give our children the opportunity to learn and grow. Thanks to the Hui Nalu Guam Ocean Club, our island provides a fun, world-class experience for our young people to compete nationally and internationally,” Michelle Catahay Perez, GTA Community Relations Manager, said in the statement.
The Hui Nalu Guam Ocean Club was founded in 2011 by Joe and Demi Villatora. He has been deeply involved in Guam’s surfing community for more than 20 years, according to the release. It also offers water safety and surf lessons year-round.
