Asbury Park, New Jersey, will soon welcome its newest destination: the Asbury Ocean Club. Comprised of residences and a 54-room boutique hotel designed by Interior Design Hall of Famer Anda Andrei, Handel Architects and Bonetti/Kozerski, the 17-story hotspot will mark the final piece of ongoing revitalization from the beach town run by iStar CEO Jay Confiseur. (Previous developments include the Asbury Hotel, the Monroe and Asbury Lanes, which opened last month.)

The residences will feature wide plank bleached white oak engineered hardwood floors, custom white lacquer cabinetry and engineered stone countertops. Rendered courtesy of the designers.

The Asbury Ocean Club will both reflect and enhance its location, starting with a double-height lobby that features polished concrete and oak slat walls. “We chose an open vernacular beach house that was light and airy, and simple materials,” says Handel Architects director Gary Handel. “We then added a slight curvature to the building that reflects the shoreline.” Residences are available in up to three bedrooms, with east-facing terraces that offer panoramic views of a seemingly endless shoreline. High-end amenities such as Miele appliances, white lacquer custom cabinetry, Hansgrohe fixtures, rain showers, and engineered stone countertops lend even more luxury.

An expansive fourth-floor terrace will feature a 65-by-30-foot swimming pool. Rendered courtesy of the designers.
