The 471-room hotel was due to open in June but was delayed for several reasons, including its cash-strapped contractor, Lam said without giving further details.

The Marriott is one of two upscale hotel projects at the Wong Chuk Hang theme park, the other a Fullerton hotel, slated for completion in 2021. A $2.9 billion water park attraction HK is expected to open late next year. .
